hey you guys, i have a zhong 150 cc scooter which i recently replaced the cvt belt....i didnt really know what size to get so i just bought one off ebay...with measurements 842-20-30
what i did was replace it, and now it behaves funny....when i normally start the scooter, it should be in neutral since its automatic...but now when i start it, the back wheel always spins(when off the ground), but when on the ground, the bike shakes and has a jumpyness to it as if there was stress constantly being released from the cvt belt(sort of as if something egg shaped were being spun, rather than something perfectly round and balanced). i just wanted to know what could possibly be wrong with the belt i put in? is it too small? when i check online, i see no belts measuring over 845 in length....i did however find a belt that was thinner than 20(a 15) i was wondering if this might be the issue? i dont know exactly what belt to use for my scooter so if someone can point me to how to find the correct belt measurement, that would be great...or if someone knows what would cause it to not go into neutral, that would also be great. thanks so much.

Yeah, unfortunately with what information you've given we can't tell you any more than you can if you have the right size belt or not, and that may or may not be the problem but you really need to make sure first off that you do put the right size belt on there, otherwise we're looking awful stupid here trying to figure this one out.
Does your owner's manual specify the belt size?

What size are your wheels? If I know what size your wheels are, I can tell you which belt you need.

That should indeed be an 842-20-20 belt.
I believe your problem is not the belt, but rather that your idle speed is too high. Decrease the idle until the wheel no longer spins when the bike is running on it's centerstand. Your idle should only be about 800 to 1100 rpms.

There are 10 inch, 13 inch, most 150cc scoots take 13inch tires.

Blueboy sounds right, check your idle speed. Real easy only 1 screw.
