Somebody had to make this, so I did. Feel free to print, put on a t-shirt, change it, steal it, whatever.

Actually, scooter exhaust is FILTHY. I'd bet a scoot pollutes more in 1000 miles than my hemi Magnum did in the 88,000 miles I put on it! (Hemi Mag is a Tier II ULEV.)

TOO COOL!!!!! +1000! As to the charge of polluting, BS! I have the charcoal canister P.A.I.R.S system. which doesn't put out a tenth of the pollution of some arrogantly bloated, resource-wasting, presumptuous, gas guzzling tank.

Is there one for cyclist? The hemi is a pretty clean running engine but even still you cant compare 90+ mpg to 20 mpg, in terms of PM alone the hemi must produce more as more fuel is being burnt per mile. Simple math not just arrogant banter. Particulate matter is the by product of burning fossil fuels and theres not really too much you can do about it. I just recently did a tune up on a 5.7, stupidest set up ever. You have to take off the wheel wells to reach the last plug on the driver side and the back 2 on the passenger. 16 plugs total.

Less harm to the atmosphere includes; volume of exhaust, antifreeze, oil, coolant, transmission fluid, and windshield washer fluid leaks, four large tires that will have to be disposed of, 1-2 tons of fiberglass, plastic, metals and materials that will have to go somewhere... scooters aren't comparable to cars. But, if you guys would rather I replace that sentence with another one that is more synchronous with the "give scooter riders a break" theme, I can put another in. I built it in Photoshop and it's easy to change.

@wutz
when i lived in Myrtle Beach, years ago, i was really into 'blading'. great way to keep in shape, if you do 5+ miles a day. there was a group of us locals, who would meet up, if we could, we all worked different shifts, a lot of places were open 24/7. We'd 'burn' a couple and skate anywho's we'd skate right up ocean Blvd,up to N Myrtle, turn around and go down to Surfside Beach, if we felt up to it. Especially after the new pavement of ALL of Ocean Blvd. Some of the 'real' locals knew the law, that bikes, skaters, had the right of way, JUST like cages. So they had T's printed that said something like.
............SKATERS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY ALSO according to MB law such and such, subsection 12a. ...... SO BACK OFF
more people got MORE aggressive with us, cutting us off, turning right in front of us etc etc etc.
but they were all tourists, and think we were their to kiss their a&&'s which when working, yea they are the customer,
SO wear your T, , and maybe in your town you wont get run over just for spite.

Hey my mom grew up in Myrtle Beach (w/Vanna White, I believe). I'd like a shirt like that. If they do something to spite me, the video goes up on YouTube and if it's bad enough, the link gets sent to the local police. I have no tolerance for people who don't respect the non-caging, especially when the law does.

OUCH

Dont have to...got the car smog tested. It blew zeros across the board. Yes, ZERO. The guy was so amazed he did it again...same result. Only the second zero he'd ever seen. (First was a Prius.) No CO, no unburned hydrocarbons, no NOX.

Seriously?? That blog is from 2008, it's full of vagueness and contradictions. I'm pretty sure you could google up just about anything you wanted it doesn't make it true. What makes this guy an authority? It says they are worse because of particulates that are formed and not caught by a catalytic converter? What happens to those particulates (which are produced in greater quantities by larger engines) when the system needs to be serviced? They still pollute the planet with them all your doing is changing the time and place of the pollution event. They are looking at a very small part of a large picture and are assuming to some degree that many of the engines on the road are 2 strokes we all know that's not the case nor has it ever been. I call hogwash lets see some comprehensive science...

Hi My aprilias Ditech 2t 50 cc engine produces far lower emissions then most 2t and even 4 t scoot engines As an added bonus it can rival most 4t 150 cc sized scoots in performance ;D www.motorscooter.com.au/html/news/aprilia/sr50/ditech.htmSo not all small displacement scoots are environmental disasters or slow road hogs Take care and ride safely Yourds Hank

To me anything that uses less fuel to travel further distances is good enough for the environment. Nobody can truly stop pollution from happening but using less resources is a big plus.
