I really feel like wasting my saved money on a new scooter, something super cheap, that I feel like I'm going to have a good return on it; but haven't yet found a good deal out there.
I was thinking, since I have a 50cc, which was sold for $500, and ended up costing me 850 with shipping and taxes, I just wished I could find a craigslist ad of something around here, that's sold for a ridiculously low price, and which would be loads of fun for me.
Probably second hand, as even chinese scooters seem quite overpriced. The big brands scooters aren't that much more expensive than the chinese ones; but where a chinese scooter has a $199 shipping fee, a big brand scooter has a $300 dealer fee. So it ends up still being a lot cheaper; but not cheap enough.
I wished there was some kind of warehouse nearby, that I could pick up a new scoot for $500 or something!
I really feel the 'need' to buy something cheap but good enough to give me a couple of months of fun!
ever had this feeling?

Many more listed with sob stories about lost titles etc. Most are stolen as the ower of record can get a replacement title for around $25 here in Florida.

Hey Pro, ever been in a Harbor freight store? (BTW, the title of this almost sounds like Beatnik poetry.)

Almost all of them are lower end chinese scoots and they're asking more for them than I could buy them new, shipped from good dealers online.

I'm living near Miami, so Orlando would be quite far. I was expecting to see a lot of cheapo scoots on craigslist, but most of them are either too expensive (asking $600 for a 50cc that costs $800 new), or without title or just wrecked.

Unfortunately here in the Tampa area Craigslist is the same. Used broken down scooters for the price of new and those that are in decent shape are either stolen or the asking price is based on MSRP which is usually double the original selling price.
50cc currently $500 to $1500 used. 150cc $800 to $1500 used.
A couple bike in a bin bargains for $200 and lower one even claims to have a title and most of the parts are included.
