does anyone have any experience with a high idle and the ruck just wants to move by itself at idle? I took this video last nite www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLU-ZE7l96Aidle goes up and down and tries to move by itself... so i was told that there might be van leak somewhere... was told to try to take off the intake manifold and put some high temp silicon in between... so I did that tonite and get a new vac hose from the fuel pump to the nipple on the intake manifold... no more surging idle however it now idles high steady and still trying to move by itself... so I rode it around at about 10 MPH... when I left go the throttle, the RPM stays high and keep the bike rolling, RPM wont back down... if i turn the air screw in to richen it, it helped a little bit but it would shut off... I notice black smoke from the exhaust, so I think it's running rich? also it will stall if i pull the choke when it's idling... i also notice there are some fuel in the vacuum line from the pump to the intake manifold nipple.... is this normal? details on the scooter 155cc new ported and polished head and intake manifold OKO 28mm flatslide carb 117.5 main 35 pilot spark plug was wet and black dr pulley variator i believe it has stock clutch with red springs yellow torque spring with aftermarket drive face thanks in advance for any help!

You're definitely running rich and there should be an idle adjustment screw on your carb, not having a pic of it I can't point you in the right direction. You'll want to bring the A/F screw back to where you had it and tune for HIGHEST RPM after a warm up of at least 10 min. Then after the A/F set for highest RPM, back down the idle screw until you're happy with the setting

I believe she's running too lean on idle, bring that screw OUT 1/8 turn at a time until it calms down, if you get to two FULL turns out something else is the matter, but turning it IN doesn't richen it as you said, turning it IN leans it so turn it OUT.
