Hi spandi, normally it would at lest try to start, this time it just cranks battery down, I had my wife come with the car and jump it, had it cranking fast, but no start.

Possibly spark plug wire came off. Engine ground wire broke at connector. Coil wire came off. Bad diaphragm in gas line valve. Check to see if you have any spark at the plug. After cranking it and no start take out the spark plug and see if it is wet with gas. You can determine if it is an ignition problem or a fuel problem and go from there.

Thanks Makarov, I did check spark plug wire and coil, seemed alright, but I still need to see if I'm getting spark. You have good idea about checking spark plug to see if its wet or dry.

Last night got to check out my scooter, it seems that looking a fuel filter that the filter is half full and the end going to the fuel pump is low enough to not to reach the hose going into fuel hose to pump, now the scoot was low on fuel, could I just ran out? getting gas in can later today.

Yesterday I hit a speed bump that I didn't see soon enough to slow down. About four miles later my scoot just flat quit and wouldn't even give any hint it would start. I sat there about ten min. wondering how to get it home. I thought maybe the spark plug wire fell off but the more I thought about that the more stupid it sounded. It finally got the best of me so I laid down on the ground to look up and see if I could see the plug, I could and it had fallen off. I managed to get it back on and drove home just fine.

Rich maybe you picked up some dirt at the bottom of your tank.

Hi tv, got one of these to replace my fuel filter, guess I should unhook hose from gas tank first and see if it drains. Attachments:

Update, drain gas from tank, changed fuel filter, check for spark (no spark) had a spare, changed spark plug and still no spark, don't know if you can have a vacuum lock, sprayed cab cleaner in carb, she fired right up, now my fuel filter is full all the time and seems to be running good.

Glad to hear you're back in business! (It was the part about it conking out going uphill that had me wondering if it was fuel related.)

I think I did have a blockage because my fuel filter only half full, drained gas and put new in. It was funny had to spray carb clean in carb so it could fire, (I guess I had to prime it?)

The float in the float in the carb may have stuck and firing it with carb cleaner probably rattled it loose again.
