I have not had a chance to check the yamaha manual yet but when I took the nut off it took some where between 80- 90 ftlb. of torque to break it loose, I'll have to look in the manual and do the conversion to ftlbs. I appreciate your help and will let you know what I end up with on the torque value thanks a lot

I checked the yamaha manual and the general torque spec for the 19mm nut when converted to ftlbs of torque converts to about 60 ftlbs if this is wrong will someone let me know the yamaha manual only gives general torque specs for nut size and gives a torque of 8.5 mkg converts to 60ftlbs as I stated in my thread it took about 80 to 90 to break it loose I did not use an impact wrench to get it off I used a torque wrench so I could see what it took to break it loose. I'll torque it back on at 55-60 ftlbs. I called several dealers who's phone number i got from roketa .com and they could not even tell me what the proper torque is so I'll go for your advice and my research and hopefully won't mess anything up thanks for your help

Is it the bolt it self that's 19mm or is it the outside of the nut ?

It's the out side of the nut ,Don't tell me I'm wrong on the torque cause I just got done putting it all back together the whole reason I did it was to get rid of the squeal between 10- 20 mph that I was having I sanded the inside of the bell housing and lightly sanded the pads and that took care of the squeal

According to this www.dansmc.com/torque_chart.htm guide you have torqued it just right. Your bolt is grade 8.8 or better. The 5kg I suggested earlier will be good for a 10mm bolt. My bad.

thanks for your help I can't believe the people that make the scooter don't even know what the torque is or the different dealers I spoke to although I had one who called me from up at south of the border a place called Dillon one of the people i called called him and he called me He said they don't know the torques because they use an impact wrench but he was real helpful and pointed me in the right direction and your advice helped too thanks tomorrow I'll finish the fluids and take it for along test ride. It's a big scoot to have to push
