It depends on the roller weights, riders weight, etc. i've passed 150cc scooters on my little 83cc.

i max out top speed at 59mph gps right at 8000rpm scooter is stock 157qmj using 10 gram weights 1000 rpm torque spring uni filter and bolt on performance style muffler stock rebuilt carb with 115 jet with the needle set at the second land from the top of course orange coil and cdi. of course thats max top end flat road ect... i easily can maintain 55-56 without having to use wide open throttle it always seems like the last 1/4 throttle doesnt do much to increase speed but does make the engine work harder 11 or 12 gram have given me only negligible mph improvements while take off seems sluggish .

I've had my chinometer well past 70 towards 80, I'd say 76-78mph but that thing can't be trusted and that's absolute top speed we're talking already cruising near 55 when starting down a steep long hill with a back wind leaning down into the handlebars in the direction of the earth's rotation. The tach is so deep in the red I don't even want to look but around 8.5 to 9 or so kilo rpm's. Among other performance items I've got Shinko SR007 tires which measure 110/90-12... Not sure whether those affect the chinometer versus the OEM Kendas it was designed with. On a good day I can get the tach to 10,000 on the stand. Oh, it has performance improvements. The three biggest performance improvers are the racing CDI, header pipe with glasspack, and leaning into the wind, at least in terms of bang for the buck. Yet I've had days when I can't seem to get much over 50-60mph Chino. That having been said I found a little app for my cellphone called Ulysse Speedometer. www.appszoom.com/android_applications/transportation/ulysse-speedometer_veng.htmlAccording to that, my Chinometer is off roughly by 5mph for every 20mph it indicates. So if the Chinometer says 60 I'm really only doing about 45? And near 80... Even at 75 Chino one could say true speed is likely more around 55..? That could well be but who knows, all whole buncha blowmeters if you ask me. Here's a picture of the engine bay... The Fat red wire at the bottom is a 10mm Spyro Pro racing ignition wire on a hot coil. The shiny pink thing is my oil catch can. postimage.org/image/iu0buzajn/The intake manifold, although stock, has been hand polished: postimage.org/image/4ilf3thr7/For comparison here it is before polishing: postimage.org/image/e208trufv/

I've hit 68MPH according to awesome HUD on my iPhone. the tach was showing 8.5K and mind you, this was going downhill, with a tail wind. Notes: I've modded the crap out of the stock airbox and exhaust, I also replaced the stock carb with a HOCA performance carb and a 110 main jet with the needle set in second position. Other than that I havent done much but my future plans are a 115mm variator, a 1500rpm clutch spring, and perhaps go with a different tranny setup. for gears

My 150 will top out at 56-57 on a flat road @7100 rpm, all stock exept for a free flowing muffler, before the muffler i could maintain about 52,my engine is a p157qmj.

48 @ 6k rpm. With lighter rollers I probably would be able to go faster.

What's a relatively inexpensive way (no don't say duct tape lol) to mount a camera to my helmet?

sticky Velcro, its like tape on one side and the other is velcro This works but I didn't like it for mine; the constant sound of velcro ripping/popping as the wind would lift it and it would fall back and stick (rinse and repeat) is annoying. This is one video I did with it mounted like that; now I wear mine inside the helmet next to my temple and just hope that if in an accident, it will be too weak to lodge into my brain and will turn partially vertical or break... flip-side is I'd have a built in camera in my brain...

Yeah I went and ordered up what's called a hook-and-loop clinch strap a foot long and an inch wide so I can strap it to the front bottom part, the piece right in front of my chin on a full face helmet, my camera is older so it won't fit inside but I still don't feel like losing it and I think the clinch strap will hold it...
Because this is one of those things, I just installed a 115mm racing variator yesterday, along with the hand polished manifold and did some tweaking too... And took it out, after some initial belt squeal which I hope goes away... May have to pull the cover off the CVT again, I can't recall for sure if I tacked that Variator bolt on tight. But I did ride 60+ miles with it like that and I hit a speed on the chinometer that...
It's seriously so fast I have to take video or you won't believe it. It's amazing, that little extra face surface totally got rid of the red lining, now she rides mostly in the 6-7k range which is near the engine's power curve, no more 8500 crap unless I'm on a very long and steep down hill.
I will, however, also stick my cell phone with the Ulysses GPSometer ON in my pocket, it has a function that records top speed and to me is far more believable than the Chinometer.
For now here's a quick vid of it all put back together right before the ride: (bit of smoke at first cuz I forgot the rear tire was still on the ground lol)
Even in that vid she's not hitting 10k rpm's at all, I know it's not clearly visible but that's the 9000 line on the odo. Once I get it all set up for video I'll take it out for a ride.

62mph at 8,200 rpm on the flats. Mods are; open element PAPER filter (cone style) free flow exhaust, 115 main jet, unlimited CDI, 11g rollers, Gates 842 belt, RED clutch springs. It might do more, but I didn't want to push it harder (2011 Baccio/Roketa mc-150-t)

That tells me your carb isn't adjusted right, you should hit 13.8K o that tach no problem. warm her up and see where she sits with the A/F screw

Great vid! That tells me your carb isn't adjusted right, you should hit 13.8K o that tach no problem. warm her up and see where she sits with the A/F screw I appreciate the input... Only screw I see is the low idle jet one... Doesn't do much good to adjust that for the top end. It's a stock (albeit 26mm) carburetor.
