Never had to replace a Jog 50 rectifier/regulator...until today. I cannot find one for the Jog/Minarelli engine. Can they use the standard QMB139 rectifier/regulator? They are both 4 prong and available in half wave and full wave. If so..which would be best?. Thanks, Glenn..aka..Yayiima benatigee... Attachments:

Matt tx man...love doing business with you folks. So is the rectifier the same as for the qmb139?... trying to figure out what the difference would be. 12 volts 4 pin...thinking it should be the same..

Also what is the difference between 1/2 wave and full wave rectifiers?..I see them available for QMB139's ... So..benefits...issues?....one better than the other?.. My father was an electronics tech and drove stuff into my head...but I seem to have forgotten...other than a rectifier is a series of bridged diodes..

Still wondering...will the QMB139 regulator/rectifier work for the Minarelli 1E40QMB? They look the same...both 4 pin....and PFS is the ONLY site so far that lists a Minarelli 2T one. So what does everyone else use...a standard QMB139 one?... Is there even a difference...if so what?..

Full wave R/R is used on the 3 phase stator like on the 11, 12 and 18 coil stators used on some 150 scooters and all 250 and up scooters.

Sorry, I just got back to this thread... EPA Hater has the lockdown on Half Wave VS. Full wave.
You'll see half and full wave available for QMBs because QMBs come in both AC and DC flavors. Minarelli engines typically are a bit more standardized in their electrical systems.
As far as the compatibility, I don't think that the two are compatible. I'm waiting for confirmation from our supplier, but at this time I'm going to go with Jog and QMB regulators do not interchange. If anyone has information otherwise, feel free to correct me.
Matt

Very doubtful, the 91 to 00 Jog has a DC type CDI and a single phase stator with a 4-pin R/R.
According to the Minarelli service manual which is used also for some Malaguti scooters it's the same system. You might want to look at a R/R for a Malaguti?
