I tend to push things too far when I'm trying to make a thing better, and eventually, my luck runs out. I may be limiting myself here, but I think I'm done upgrading, except for getting better tires. I just get this feeling that if I keep going, getting bbk or high-performance stuff, I'm going to end up screwing something up on this little 49cc. I'm sharing this because it's sort of strange but I think it makes sense. My scooter does pretty good, right now, and I think I'm going to stop messing with it outside of just replacing broken parts. Anybody else reach that peak where you figure you better leave well enough alone?

I've been "done" with performance upgrades for a while. But still, a new set of rollers or belt, always feels good. I just put new rollers in two rides ago, went 3grams (total) over my last set, it's different for the better and smooth as new. I'm quite happy with the Aero50, it's all I can expect from a scooter and more. I've got that same passion as Hank but I satisfy my needs with simple maintenance. Love cleaning the air filter and topping off the tanks, keep the tires up to pressure, and the brakes adjusted just for me.

I am pretty happy with mine right now. If money allows I will get a performance exhaust and I have a paint scheme I want to do. I do like everything as it is but leaving a bike stock is not for me...
The sliders were definitely the best thing so far

Like an artist is never truly "finished" with artwork, merely stopping at a convenient point, I'm never done upgrading.

It makes sense; the competent mechanics are always in a state of flux XD After almost getting killed tonight again, I am looking at putting on a big arsed horn. Or three.

I've got that same passion as Hank but I satisfy my needs with simple maintenance. Love cleaning the air filter and topping off the tanks, keep the tires up to pressure, and the brakes adjusted just for me. That's me. I just go out sometimes for a half hour and look for nuts or screws that need tightening or what might need to be cleaned or greased. It's a satisfying feeling just to do that. Being an amateur at this, I was actually pretty spooked just messing with CDI/coil, belt and slider replacements, so now that it's running good, I just feel ok with leaving it be except replacement parts and various riding accessories. Maybe in a year or two I'll give another look at a bbk but if I'm going to do that I'll probably just go for a 250, dunno. Something is very sexy about the versatility of these little ones... hard to put my finger on it but like I said before, it's like riding a bike and you just don't have to pedal... almost feels like you're cheating imo XD
