For those with experience with Sliders, do you notice that they make more noise than standard rollers?

It could be that these are installed dry since they are "self-lubricating" whereas the Honda's were packed in grease. Also, I haven't installed the CVT cover and gone for a test ride.

I was told when using Dr Pulley's to clean out all the grease from the variator, as the sliders are made of Teflon. Also I remember reading a posting about Honda changing it's policy and no longer using grease for that purpose. (btw, let us know how they worked out for you and if your acceleration is better.)

Well I put the CVT cover back on and it quieted down big time. I hadn't had a chance to ride because I am getting over a cold and felt too wobbly to ride.
BTW: I bought a new variator off eBay to go with my sliders. The sliders seemed to fit very well. I also installed a blue contra spring from Buggy Parts NW. I'll post up my riding experience as soon as I ride it.

Interesting as when I put DRP sliders in my Echarm they were quiet with no rattle 7,500 miles later with almost no wear

I have rollers in one scoot, and sliders in another, both 250's. The sliders have a bit of a fluttery sound, over the rollers. However, I find them both to be fine to use. I just wanted to see if I could feel a difference in take off, but seems the same. If I wired in a tach, I might see a bit of difference.
