well... i have had the scoot for nearly two years ow and finally i have had a bit of a serious issue... a overheating, oil leaking engine.
it started leaking a long time ago so i opted to upgrade it to a 61mm jug and it ran great! extra 5mph top but a nice get-up-and-go added to the lower end. finally the other day it overheated for the third time in the past 2 months and it will not start any more.
i got lucky and had the money to order a new engine the day BEFORE it finally died, it should be here a few weeks from now at the latest ( stupid holidays lol) and figured i would do a full tear down to see what all got damaged from the overheating and long term oil leak ( actually that is the cause of the rear tires death, long term exposure to hot, dirty oil) while i clean it all up to be sold as scrap ( i dont think anyone wants the parts from an over heated engine right?)
a sample of the things i expect to find damaged: the rod should be loose on the crank
the rings should be almost no existent
the piston should be damaged or coated in thick ( millimeter thick) black soot
the jug may be damaged in some sopts.
ok so we will see i the coming weeks ( videos and pictures to be posted) let me know your thoughts

Well you can replace the rear brake pads as well because they're all contaminated and your scooters stopping ability is compromised, it would have been a whole lot cheaper to fix that engine's oil leak when it first started, and no thanks for contaminating the environment.

Let's keep it civil, we all care about the environment, because we all drive vehicles that get twice the mileage of any hybrid currently on the market. That said, please keep us up to date on when the new motor and tire arrive, if you did order the entire motor/CVT assembly, new brake pads come with it anyway.
