I only saw one general scooter page on FB and while it had 27k likes, it was without activity. Let's fire this one up and get it going. Can't do it without your help! www.facebook.com/goscootEDIT We are changing from the "page" to a "group" so that all posts and posted pics get equal real estate on the screen. The page will be up for a few more days but please do come join the group. No rules except no spamming or intolerance. Just people talkin' about scooters. www.facebook.com/groups/322181101221151/

Awesome. I know what people think; "another effin scooter site?" But FB is an interesting type of "quick hit" medium and there isn't a page established for it, really, whereas a deep site like this can answer any question but may not garner that general worldwide flavor of what's happening with scooters. Know whutta mean? In other words, this is the Encyclopedia Scooter. I'm trying to make the Scooter Ticker that runs along the bottom of the Encyclopedia's screen. Or something like that.

Hi Best of luck with the page Im not a member or fan of facebook though Take care and ride safely dear friend Yours Hank I can fully understand and respect that, too. And if their policies get too edgy, I make no promises about jumping ship and giving the page to somebody else to run

Greg has a great page (above). While there seem to be some specific dealer/types of scooter pages on Facebook, I haven't found any until ours (listed in first comment) that actually encapsulated all scooters/riders/countries/etc. Like I said on the page, it's not a place to come get answers like this forum is--it's just a place to keep two fingers on the pulse of scooters/riding worldwide. For convenience's sake, like/join www.facebook.com/goscoot

Also, we'd like to invite all ScootDawg vendors (and ScootDawg itself, for recruiting members) to advertise in the group... would appreciate if you would offer helpful tips here and again, though.

I joined -- like others, I'm a little undecided about Facebook. I check my site about every 6 months or so; but I think I'll start to check the scooter sites regularly. I doubt I'll be burdened with trivia like " I brushed my dog's coat today, and there was lots of hair." just to post something on a site!
Keep the dark side down!

I quit Facebook about three years ago. Too overwhelming for me and quite unfulfilling, even though I had started some successful groups and a gift app. Recently, a student convinced me to start a page for my school, but I can't join groups through that.
I think I'll brush my cat's coat instead. There is sure to be lots of hair.

We just ask off-the-wall questions and post pics, to be honest. It's just like a news ticker of sorts... just grabs the feel of scootering. We don't have a lot of members yet but it's growing. I couldn't believe when I did a search that there was no page/group for just "Scooters" that was active. All of them were vendor-specific or model-specific or city/country specific. If it fails, it fails (I also have had pages fail before; doesn't bother me. I've got about 8 up that are running ok). Thanks for all who have joined. All I'm trying to do is help scooter lovers have a quick fix now and again
