Okie dokie, so today while attempting to change my gear oil everyone went fine til I decided to tighter my drain bolt a little more before it snap into two pieces. I tried a bolt extracting, and a left handed drill bit to remove the bolt that didn't work at all.... So now I'm forced to remove.
1. Flywheel cover ( which was already off for gear oil Change ) 2. Flywheel 3. Variater slider? Do I have to remove this? 4. Back tire. 5. Gear housing ( so I can reach broken bolt & remove )
Is all this correct?
PROBELMS: When trying to remove flywheel back tire spins... What is the easiest way to remove the flywheel? If anyone can make a list of tools I will need for that. Also if I do need to remove the variater slider, and any suggestions or videos to lead me in the right direction or show me how to do any of this. It looks fairly simple once I can get the flywheel off... But I'm so lost and mad at myself for giving that bolt a extra couple turns I guess hitting the gym hard these past months does have some negative effects.
Thanks again guys for all your help with all my stupid posts. I'm not a mechanic of any sort, and never have been. With all your guys's help I've managed to get all my scooter maintence done.. I will be working on it Sunday, so feel free to comment/search for some videos that will lead me in the direction of getting this done.
Ian.

the final drive is not under pressure so you can use almost anything that will fit and stop the leaks. a rubber plug that expands when tightened will work perfectly.
the only thing that needs removed to change the final drive oil on my bike is the CVT cover. and of course the fill and drain bolts.

Yes I was going to ask that same thing, you do not need to take the FLYWHEEL off that is on the other side of the motor.
I think maybe you meant the CVT cover on the LEFT side because you did mention about taking the Variator off but you do not need to take the VARIATOR off YOU could take the CLUTCH off so you can work with some space around you because that is where the fill and drain tranny gear oil are.
You need a left hand drill bit and a Extracter. You put the DRILL IN REVERSE and drill in the center of the bolt. It may even start to unscrew while drilling. If not then you will need an Extracter to fit the drilled hole.

I used a left hand drill bit & a extracter but the screw broke at a weird angles and when I screwed the left handed bit in it snapped also. I bought another one it worked well but the bolt did not come out, so then I used a extracter in the existing hole from the left hand bit, and that didn't work. So now my drain bolt is still broken inside. I posted this and all those removal questions, becaus there is no way that bolt is coming out. So I'm asking what do I need to remove to get to the bolt ( I was told the back tire, flywheel, and gear box) and I will be able to drill it out from behind.... Is this not correct??

Like we said the FLYWHEEL is on the other side of the motor towards the front not by the tranny near the backend where the tranny gears are. If you look back there you will see that behind the CLUTCH there are some screws like around 6 or so. Behind that plate are your gears and the shaft that your clutch goes on goes into the plate. NOW LOOK and see if the DRAIN PLUG is on the PLATE SIDE that comes off with the 6 bolts holding or is the DRAIN PLUG on the other part that the PLATE screws into. If it is on the FRONT PLATE HALF that is held on with about 6 bolts then you can take plate out and try to drill it from the inside. I do not believe that you need to take the wheel off. The Gears are right behind the plate behind the clutch and it is hollow behind it to hold the gears and oil. Take a picture if you can of the drain hole so we can see what half the hole is in.

Here is what it looks like to me which is very common on most scoots that where the CLUTCH goes into that PLATE comes off to get at the GEARS. Is the Drain UNDERNEATH or on the side?

Well most of us buy an IMPACT wrench because you will have the same problem taking the VARIATOR off. If your just using a socket wrench that is HARD because those nuts are on there pretty good if they have never been taken off. After the first time then it is easier. You have to hold the BELL that is the ONE with the HOLES right behind the NUT. This works good I have one myself If I need to hold the Variator or Bell while trying to loosen and tighten the nut.

Thank you so much for your help. I will buy a vice wrench tomorrow and let you know how it goes.
Thanks again!

what kind of extractor are you trying to use a round one that has the reverse of the threads or the square one I have found through the years that the round one go in and cause the bolt to expand even tighter if that's what you are using try the square they have less tendency to spread the bolt out and make it tighter hope you get it fixed.

Yes that all is right. Thank you. Now my question is how to i get the clutch off? Every time I try and turn it the wheel spins aswell I've tried jamming something in there what is the easiest way? You can go out and buy a impact wrench and the other stuff needed to remove the clutch but if you don't have those tools, you can always buy this item. auctionworks.com/StoreFrontProfiles/DeluxeSFItemDetail.aspx?sid=1&sfid=92390&c=879539&i=232777697It was made for the Honda Helix but works on almost all scooters. This item is very good for the money, time, and knowing you're doing the job right. It works on the clutch, variator, and if needed, the flywheel. I like it because you only need a socket wrench and this tool to remove the items and can also torque the nuts back to specs when complete. I hope you don't need it and can get the broken screw out without taking the transmission apart.
