I bought my son a CF Moto Glory scooter for college. He called me today to say the lights turn on and the dash lights up but when he pulls in the break to start it absolutely nothing happens. He hasn't driven it in a couple weeks, is it possible that the battery isn't charged enough to start this scooter?

Ask your son if when he squeezes the brake and hits the start button his lights dim quite a bit, that is a giveaway that the battery is very low.

Is the kickstand down ? It has a killswitch in it when its down . Does the brake light light up when the lever is pulled in ? If not try the other one and the brake switch is simple to replace if so . Should have 3 fuses check those

If he's new to scooter riding, it may be something as simple as having hit the engine kill switch accidently.

It will not start or run with the kickstand down as a safety feature . When its down there should be a light with the letter P lit up . I never use the killswitch only the key to turn mine off . Check the fuses as mine uses 3 instead of only 1 like most do . My Echarm has the same engine . When you turn the key you should hear the fuel pump buzz and pressure up the line . I always wait until it does that before hitting the start button since its under 1 second of time .
Scooters have a safety feature which requires a brake lever being pulled inward in order to allow the electric start to get power . Insert the key and turn it to the on position . Pull in each brake individually and see if the brake light comes on when the lever is pulled in . If it does not light up the brakelight one one lever and does on the other then its a new brake switch replace . If you bought it new and had an authorized dealer do the oil change and service at 300 miles then the warranty with pay for the part and labor . I had switch on my Echarm go out put I replaced it myself since I did not want to leave my scooter at the shop . Remove the mirrors ( very easy as its too easy to strip out the threads and the left side the threads are backwards . Remove the screws on the headlight and dash housing and the turn signals which only have a single bolt and two wires with connectors . They are color coded so super easy to match up . The brake switch is below the lever with only two wires and a screw or two holding it on . The hardest part for me was the body required being super carefull having to bend and stretch it some and I was noid to break it . The Glory has a different design than the Echarm but it may not be as easy as one would think to R&R so be patient doing so .
Does the headlight appear to be bright ? CFmotos the headlights are powered by the battery instead of the stator like most so it stays bright instead of dimming like most do . If you bought new from a dealer take it to them since it has a 2 year full warranty even all electronics providing you let the dealer do the first service and if not the warranty may be void . If the headlight is dim and you do not have a charger any autopart store can change it for free providing they have a trickle charger of 1 amp or less as a standard car battery charger will cook it . The 3 fuses on my Echarm are in the front access panel where most scooters have the single fuse in the battery tray
