There is normally bolts lining the outside of that cover too. At least there are on my 150 and 400 I don't own a 250. A shot looking dead on may help us locate them for you. Every place I want to see one in that picture is somehow obscured.

A rubber mallet may help loosen it.

Well I see two that have to be taken off they are holding the AIR BOX right in the top center. Also Look all around on the edge of the CVT cover for bolts holding it onto the case.

I have the mc-54-250b roketa scooter, the gear oil bolt on mine is right under the cvt cover (clutch side, right in the middle) I have picture on my computer, I 'm at work right now.

You could probably remove trans cover without removing air box by using a mallet but you will need to remove air box to replace trans cover. Good luck. Some models have a small hole on the corner that pops off the trans cover. It is usually near the bottom right corner so you can reach the bolt without taking the entire trans cover off.

Having the bike on the center stand would probably make it easier to deal with.

Your motor looks a lot like my Jonway yy250y. If so there are 2 studs that hold the cover in place. If there is a little corrosion on them they will stick and hold the cover tight. Like posted a rubber mallet will help. Hope this helps you.

my roketa 250B has the gear change bolt where richardthescooter1 has his My friend has a 250B also and he just takes off the fill plug and siphons the oil out just make sure when you get the oil out run a magnet threw it to make sure there are no metal shavings I also keep a magnet very small under the oil sceen in the engine to make sure there too. I have the Linhai Yamaha clone and the gear oil capacity is 300ml or 10 oz. Have A good New Year and keep on scootin!
