In the PDI he states Silicone. There seems to be a pretty wide variety... I bought about 3 to compare.
Which do you use?

Clear silicone(jelly like substance) can be used to seal areas in which you don't want water to get into....RTV Silicone(blue or red) is used to make gaskets or reinforce existing gaskets. Silicone spray is a clear water like substance...used to lubricate things such as key switches and lock sets...it also has water repellent properties and I use it by spraying my electrical connectors to keep water from splashing on them causing corrosion or a short in a circuit...

Hi Carasdad.... Thanks for responding. For use on all the ele. connectors once you establish they are well joined, a large spot of silicone on the joint to ensure they stay well connected and endure all the vibration. And on most all the screws.. The body panel speed screws i think they are called... dash, windshield, most all the non vital screws..... then you jump up to thread loc blue and red. I have already lost a few body panel screws and in trying to fix my windshield and dash from rattling, the screws that go in at the top of the dash board at the windshield has totally striped out the thin plastic of the faring. The Silicone when it hardens into it's rubbery form is the cure for these.Yet still totally removable, just apply more silicone when inserting the screw again. I've used the Clear RTV Silicone adhesive sealant in many types of applications. The just silicone seems low viscosity and the marine is a little to thick.
And I found Black Silicone adhesive sealant. Same description as the Clear RTV , just black so should hide well.

Black silicone is great for protection, and covering. If you don't want to paint, just use black silicone. It's also great to close some holes (like mudguard holes for the tag), or also works great as sealant.
I'd use the clear silicone for parts on your bike that are not black, and especially to seal off the borders of mirrors, or windshields (in case your windshield squeaks while driving (rubbing against the plastic body plates)).

You can use silicone sealant on all of those. You do not want to use the adhesive on the electrical connectors. Just do not cover the metal lugs and sockets only seal where they slip together and where the wires exit. Another option would be to use electrical greas which most parts stores should carry and should also be in the electrical and lawn sprinkler isles at Home Depot/Lowes.
You can use the Silicone Adhesive on fasteners that you want to seal and prevent from working lose too easily especailly those into sping nuts or thin material where locktite may not work very well.
