WHich brand, type, is it reliable? And how is the performance compared to a Roketa or other 250cc bike? Seems to have less cc's (227cc), but it does have a manual transmission though! Thanks

I hate to be the one to pee in the cheerios but those bikes are well known for having poorly designed clutches and getting parts for those is almost impossible.

The best deal out there is to find a Honda CBR 250 used with ABS for about $2500. I have seen a couple in that range so far. But if I had my druthers (which means wifes permission) the new 2013 Ninja 300 ABS for $5700 would be for me. Much better power then the old 250 without having too much. A better chasis, bigger tires, fuel injected now instead of carbed. And cool looking as all get out. I'd love to see the sym Wolf 250 come here as a bargain option.

I like the small form factor, I'm not worried about the power so much as one of those is faster them my scoot any day of the week...

Ninja, and CBR where on my list to buy. But I just found these china bikes ridiculously cheap. I thought, perhaps they're good enough for fun (they go for below $2k new).
Of course, if parts are hard to get by, that's another thing. One of the reason why I asked what brand sells them, and what type it is. One of the things most websites online don't put is the correct model and brand. They just put a generic title on their pages.

Even the Kawasaki sale person admitted the CBR250 is a step above the Ninja 250. Now that Ninja 300 is something else... I might not have a Burgman if there was a CBR for sale. Unfortunately here in NM I have never seen one on the road let alone for sale. The dealers have them so I don't know where they go...

I'm generally a big fan of Honda (I've owned 2 crv's, a element and a ridgeline) and I can't say enough about thier engines and drive trains. The CRV's where the best built vehicles I've ever owned. The Element was Cool and I loved it but wasn't practicle for hauling passengers. My Ridgeline, I love it I just wish the leather work was a little better in it. I'll probably end up with a Nija tho, just becuase there are alot of them on the market and I've wanted one since they came out in '87 or so. I don't want the bigger Nija becuase of the riding position but I do like the sport bike styling. I've even considered the Hornet, but I already have a 150 scooter.
