Couple more questions for the house gurus on staff I have definitely pinpointed the source of the vibration on start and the "squeak." coming from the bottom driver side by the back wheel. It is the clutch and clutch bell. Now here's my first question ( and I thank everyone ahead of time for help !!)......... the scooter is a 250cc CFmoto fashion ..a 2008 if I recall correctly. Where can I find an aftermarket clutch and and clutch bell...something that will increase performance and eliminate the noise. Next question would be how to remove the stock clutch. I have taken the housing off and got the silver nut off the clutch bell. WIll it just pull off once that nut is removed? I dont want to forced something if there is a trick to it. And lastly...........is there a sight where I can locate some of the plastic body panels for this ride? I know its a honda helix clone but didnt know if the body panels are interchangeable.? Thank all of you for your time and consideration !!!

First pull the bell off (it should just slide off ) and see if your clutch pads are glazed (shiny surface) if so rough up with emery paper, or it could also mean your roller weights are shot. Lots of places carry CN250 parts and upgrades, I find this one has great service. www.buggypartsnw.com/home?page=shop.browse&category_id=7 Good luck!

CFMotos are made with better parts than most of the China scooters . I was impressed when I watched the MRP review and comparison of the Echarm against another scooter and when MRP replaced the variator and clutch on both with Dr Pulley parts that it did not make an improvement on the Echarm but did on the other scooter . I have read where many have said that their name brand parts did not hold up as good as the stock ones . I know that some have babied their scooter on takeoffs not wanting to wear out or damage the CVT but taking off with the clutch not fully engaged can cause the shoes to glaze up as will having the idle up too high . I have read where some who own a Fashion have reported premature belt failure like defective pulleys can do . I have over 13,000 miles on my Echarm with stock clutch and variator . I upgraded the rollers to DRP sliders at 5,500 miles and replaced the belt and variator glides at 12,000 miles . I had only a small amount of belt dust and almost no clutch dust . You may have better luck with CFMoto replacement parts instead of a 3rd party and save money . www.scrappydogscooters.com sells CFMoto parts . Weigh the variator weights and maybe a lil lighter of weigh may help you if your a heavy guy or have passengers
