Hi, I am new to the board. I am looking at purchasing a 2007 Honda Reflex. I ride my scooter to work year round untill the roads get too slippery. My question is how well do the Reflex scooters start and run when the temp gets down to 10 degrees fahrenheit. I need a scooter that starts & runs well in warm and cold temps. Does anyone ride in these temps to give me an honest answer? I am going to look at the Reflex tomorrow but thought maybe the new PCX 150 with fuel injection might be better in the cold-but it doesn't have near the wind protection. Any info would be great!! Thanks

Providing that you have a good battery you should not have any trouble starting a Reflex in any weather.

I agree. The engine isn't too dissimilar to the trx line and those 4-wheelers are designed to work as snowplows... That PCX is one sweet bike too though. What is your anticipated top speed on your commute? If its less than freeway speed the wind protection won't matter as much.

Thanks for the replies. I won't be on any roads that are faster than 55 MPH, but the Reflex windshield looks to give better protection (in photos-as I haven't seen either in person yet) I am going to a dealer tomorrow that has both on hand so I will see which will fit my needs better. I'm sure the PCX 150 should start & run fine in the cold weather (with the fuel injection), but am not sure about the Reflex? (with a carb) Thought I should get this info from people that have a Reflex. Thanks again.

I decided on the PCX 150. I think it will work out fine for me, as I don't ride the scooter much on hiways-I will take the Goldwing if I need to travel very far.

I bought the black one. No photos yet. I can't believe how quiet and smooth it runs. I also have a China scooter but did I ever up-grade with the PCX!! The first time I started it, I never even heard the starter engage and it was running. So far I love it. Now I just need to find a good looking taller windshield for the cold months.

Sweet doesn't the PCX use the stator to start it too save weight and complexity?
Anyway the black is a classy looking bike take good care of her

I ride up to about -7 degrees Celsius (about 20 degrees Fahrenheit) and my Chinese POS starts great and runs great at these temperatures. My battery is 2 years old, my spark plug too, but I always put lighter oil (fully synthetic 5W30) in winter - helps a lot.
