A 125 2 stroke might go faster but the 125 4 stroke should top out around 60 to 65 but will not last very long without a lot of work if you run it at those speeds. You want a solid 75 to 80 you need a 250. An Italian 250 with a 4 valve head and fuel injection can get you 90 depending on how the bike is outfitted but on a clone to get those speeds with any reliability you would need a 300 or 400.

I used the same NOS from BIS and the engine lasted maybe 300 miles.

Well, there's your answer in a nutshell....they have 2T's and you have a 4T which won't keep pace with that, these guys are correct, There's no replacement for displacement. A BBK might get you 25 or so more cc's BUT in reality gearing and/or weights are your next best bet short of a bigger motor itself.

My 260 gets 90 on the chinometer, lol In reality it's closer to 82MPH. I'd agree that to go 65MPH on an 125 sounds just about right. With some mods, you could go upto 70MPH perhaps. GPS verified is different from the internal speedometer. On their bikes it might be 10MPH off; that would not be unheard of, on chinese bikes

Yea they are reading in KPH and then on top of that the speedos are off so they are running below 50mph.
