On my sisters Wildfire Helix Clone, there is an additional lamp mounted a couple inches away from the main dual filament inside the headlight assembly. I hadn't noticed it before but of course since I'm the one that has to fix everything on her bike, she said "Why doesn't that bulb work?"
It looks like a 10 watt or so, has a connector hanging loose behind the assembly, but no mate connector for it in the harness.
Anyone have a clue what this was used for? I need an answer, otherwise she's just going to think I'm being lazy about fixing it!
My guess is that it might be some kind of daytime, low power running light. But........

It is a parking light that is used in Europe. I had a Suzuki motorcycle that had one of those. My headlight burnt out and I didn't realize it until it got dark.

It's a standard day light (I'm not sure if this is the right English word) as the ones in car headlights. I also have one and it was also not connected. I connected it to my nose light and put a led bulb not to overload the system.

Thanks guys. Figured it was something like that. Maybe I'll use it as the indication lamp when I install her alarm system.
