If you know a great website for scooter accessories ( Roketa ) please link & direct me that way!!!!!
Thanks again, Ian

Welcome Ian. No, not stupid at all. I've found one of the best ways to gather information is to google the scooter related subject you're looking for (like HID lights) then add "scootdawg" to it and see what comes up. In my case I replaced every single incandescent bulb with LED's, then pulled the stock 35 watter's and replaced them with 55w PIAA "Extreme White" headlights, they do light up the road at night and make me VERY visible to traffic.

If you have a 35 watt bulb you can get a 40/45 L/H bulb but not the 55 watts as they may get too hot and melt the housing unless you drill 2 holes to vent air . I had my tail light bulb burn out and replaced it with 1157LED and it seemed to help my dual headlights get a hair brighter .
I only know one guy in person who has the HID lights , yes they are brighter but the blue hue is bad for me eyes and causes too much glare . I hate cars with the xeon headlights as the blind me so bad .
Another option is to install LED cornering lights to act as helpers . I had a Harley behind me and his lights were so bright I could see better than ever , even if my headlight was out

Thanks for the help! I will have to check out my bulbs, and see what my options are. My back left tail light is out, so I plan on just replacing all my other ones as well. I will keep you guys posted & might have some more questions

Also when you replaced your bulbs to that 55 watt did you have to drill holes like "Skuttadawg" above ^^^ was saying?

Yes the HID's will solve your headlight prob....I installed Bi-Xenon HID's...35 watt....H4...9003....5000k....Hi/Lo....with relay over 2 yrs ago and love the mod..I found mine on Ebay under Bi-Xenon lights and I also installed Led's on the stop and turn signals...helped with the charging system....there is a tutorial on this mod on the forums....give it a try....enjoy the ride....

Hi Ian, To answer your question, no, I didn't have to drill any holes. What I DID do was to remove the headlight housing, bring it inside and run a few unscientific "tests"by hooking it up to a 12 volt power source and putting in various kinds of bulbs in and seeing what would happen, and what I found was that 1. The 55w was brightest by far. 2. the housing could get very hot but after a couple of hours did not melt. 3. When I put a fan in front to simulate air (however lightly) moving across the unit it stayed much cooler. Bear in mind I use the H4 bulb which has a metal collar around it so the bulb itself never comes in contact with the plastic, and that there is a 3 inch wide venting slot underneath the housing, and of course the aforementioned all LED lighting so the electrical system has ample "credit" to handle the increased power requirements.
BTW, that was a couple of hours without air currents, followed by a couple of hours with the fan on.
