Hey guys I need to service my trans on my helix does anyone know what kind of oil I should use and how much? Also I wanted to replace the weights in my clutch and it's full of grease. Does anyone know what kind of grease I should use and how much? My grease in it now is filthy.

You can us your basic 80-90 weight tranny oil, and to find out how much it takes drain it and see how much comes out I would say anywhere from 6-10 ounces of oil. It is a Splash system just for the gears so it does not take much.

Yes that is correct you can use 10-40 and the reason is 10w-40 is equvalant to 80-90 TRANNY oil, they number tranny oils differently but sameo sameo.

Yes you are right but apparently there is more to it than weight and some controversey surrounds the difference. Its not my tranny so its not for me to decide what goes in that Helix. I know what will go in my Burgman

I used 85/90w gear lube not motoroil.....8500 miles on scoot...

The Helix takes 10w-40. The fill hole is the level when on the center stand. I use a pump oiler to fill it until it runs out.
Chinese versions may use different oil.

Thanks I appreciate it I'll check out that site. I've got a universal manual for chinese 49cc-250cc scooters I'll have to see if it covers the clutch grease
