Hello,
New here for a couple reasons, first really wanting reviews that biased and can include the information that is not necessarily nice if you will…
I myself have never been on a ‘scooter’ iv rode dirt bikes, mini bikes, and currently ride very often my sport bike, 09 yammy R6. So other than the big names as in Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki, etc.. I am kinda dumb and clueless when it comes to other makers quality and which names to stray from. Course having to work on a few bikes, 99% of the Chinese stuff iv seen have been nothing short than crap.
This now brings me to you guys and GIRLS! Who would not be so clueless and dumb about the other brands and knowing what brands to stray from, as you are the ones ridding, using, working on, and being around them much more than I could ever.
I am after a scooter for my girlfriend. She will only be using it to enjoy nice days and save a little on gas going back and forth to work and keeping the mileage off her older car. ‘keeping me from having to always fix it once it breaks! (=’ Iv looked at a few, and while she is younger in age, she really digs what I call the retro style and im sure that is not the correct term but hey!
I really like what I have seen and read about the Lance Cali Classic 125. It seems it would suit her very well. And wouldent cost me a small fortune if something bad were to happen as in a wreck, stolen, or to figure out two wheels just isn’t for her, weather it’s the traffic and jackass people that scare her or, just simply doesn’t like it. She is a bit taller than me, with longer legs and arm reach. She stands roughly 6’.
What are the opinions on this bike? Should I look for another brand, style, type? I will be teaching her two wheel fun on an older dirt bike once she gets her Christmas present this way the dropping and what to watch for such as loose gravel and wet roads and the over all feel of two wheels seem to grasp hold of her better.
Lastly, getting a license… I am M classed, and from what Iv read scooters below a (x) cc do not need a special test or course like I did for my street bike, just need to fill out the paper work and send it in, which would be really cool cause I could do that for her and keep the surprise much better come Christmas day and she wanting to go practice…
Thank You for any and all help!
