I've noticed the tires on my jonway yy250t kept loosing air and had to be refilled every week or two. Didn't really think anything about it until last time I went to put air in them and the valve stem fell apart on the front tire! The entire metal tube part came out. I used to sell tires in the day and I've seen a lot of stuff, but never this. I replaced it and things were fine until last night I went to check the rear tire and it fell apart too.
This could have been a real problem on the road. Check your valve stems!!

I've seen this a half dozen times or so, from bicycles to motorcycles to cars. I think it has more to do with the cheap clamp-style nozzles used on air compressors nowadays - repeated use can damage valve stems.

I went tubes like month ago (bought tube type winter tyres) so no need to worry about valve stems now. Anyway, will be back to tubeless this summer - the rough ride with tubes can't be compared to tubeless.

They may not last to the next tire swap...don't loose you life over valve stems..change them now....use a large c clamp and replace them....enjoy the ride...

I put this set in only 250 miles ago (I don't think I need to replace them just yet) But you're right to keep up on maintenance for safety's sake.

Good lord, $30 valve stems? High speed 250cc scooter? Good valve stems cost about a buck fifty at the parts store, or ask the guy where you get your car worked on for a couple, he will probably give 'em to you. But if $30 valve stems make you happy, they look nice!

I bought some all aluminum 90 degree angle valve stems for $10 per valve stem.. They are used on a Goldwing.. Ya, those Chinese valve stems come apart. Mine popped out while I was riding 60 mph on the highway. I noticed rear wheel wobble and let off on the throttle, as it slowed up, I gently applied the front brake. It came to a stop. I was on a curve too. Cars coming and me not to certain I would not swerve into on coming traffic. It was a scarey feeling. But I kept my cool and thought out my moves to stop it correctly.
