After reading about some home made exhaust systems on the forum I had to give it a shot. I bought a strait thru tractor muffler ar Farm and Fleet for $21 and baught part of the frame of a picnic table at the scrap yard for a dollar. The new pipe is 1 1/4 ID. It took a lot of engineering , bending, rebending, and welding to make it fit but I am happy with the outcome. I also opened up the intake box by cutting out some of the bottom part where the air enters before the filter. I put in a 125 main jet. The threads sticking down at the front of the muffler are awaiting my fabrication of another support tommorow. I have to say I am impressed with the outcome. A much more enjoyble throaty sound and better acceleration. Plus 5MPH more top end. I did a two way run today with light winds and got 60MPH both ways. Bike speedo verified. Attachments:

I think it will---Hope so--- It is 3/16 inch thick steel. Much sturdier that the original exhaust pipe.
