The Honda Helix weight is 347 lbs compared to the Roketa Bali 250 of 271 lbs.. The Honda Helix and Roketa Bali 250 scooters both have the CN250 engine, 172mm engine, 244cc engine.. One is the same engine... The Honda Helix specs say it does 75 mph verses the Roketa Bali 250 specs say it does 68 mph.. I believe the Bali 250 could take the Honda Helix on takeoff speed, due to the wieght difference. What is different in the Helix that gives is a 7 mph difference in overall speed? Attachments:

Check the tire sizes. If they're the same, the difference could be in the CVT.

I bet the HP is higher but I have no idea actually. As far as I have seen the HP for Chinese clones is lower than the original motor. You can hear the difference as they idle the clearances in the engines are not as precise as the Japanese demand. That is only my opinion with out any hard facts or viewing actual specs so no flaming please
Update: Extreme scooters claims the Bali puts out 15 HP and a top speed of 85 mph. Best I can find is 18 HP on the Helix and a claimed top speed of 70-75 mph. 10" Rear wheel on both. You made me curious

The rated bhp of the Honda Helix is 18hp as stated. Honda claims that the scooter is a little 'toned down' which I take to mean that the engine is never really near its full potential. Having one of these machines I can honestly state that mine will do the advertised 75mph on level ground and will run at that pace without laboring at all. Other owners report that their Helix will not obtain 75mph but 70-72 is more or less their top end. However, they also report that their machines are never taxed to run continually at top speed. Honestly, I am very comfy cruising at 65-67 and feel that is fast enough on that 10" rear tire. I have taken my Helix on a round trip of 3000+ all Interstate highway miles and never worried about the bike failing or even being worked hard. I did change the oil at 800 mile intervals. Not knocking the Chinese machines, but as stated my experience with them of all displacements is just that there is no real comparison in the materials used or the precision used in manufacture. Regardless of what you ride, enjoy it! It is one great way to experience your freedom!!
