Here in Palm Springs I took my scoot up to the entrance of the aerial tramway. (where cable cars run tourists to the top the of the breathtaking San Jacinto mountains.) It was 2600 feet in about four and a half miles, and it got me to wondering, what's the highest you've ever take your scoot UP?

Took my 150 up and over Santiam Pass at 5,000 ft. Haven't had the 250 long enough to do a mountain run yet. The Baja 50 balks if I try and take it over a speed bump.

I live above 5000 feet I think the highest I've been is around 8000-9000.

I have a friend that lives in Silverton, Colorado. I rode my UM 250 up there last summer to visit. You have to cross two 11,000' passes to get there. No sweat with EFI. You should hear the too rich running Harley's. Some turn around and go back down. If you are jetted for sea level, you are laying down a trail of black smoke lol.

You need to take your Burgy north of Durango next summer. That road will pucker you up on a scooter. I used to haul lumber over that road back in the 80's. Scary.

Yeah bobbyb, I have a carb right now, one of the mods I hope to make in the future is an EFI replacement unit.

I was going to say the top of the windscreen, but I see that is not the highest elevation on the scooter that people are talking about.
