Ok, kinda silly, but it's buggin' me.

I picked up a Bandit UC-250Z the other day. The title says it's a 2006, but the body tag says manufactured by Znen in 2005.

Are scooter model years like cars? From September to September instead of by calendar year?

I just want to make sure the title isn't wrong before I go to the DMV.

My electric said made in Nov. 2008 but the papers that I gave to the DMV said it was a 2009 model. I would say you are OK as long as it isn't more than a couple of months difference.
