Ive been looking at cheap chinese scooters and have them coming out of my ears. I understand all the issues with them and having worked on my dads old Honda XL100 and other bikes since I was a teenager. I feel comfortable that I could tackle these issues of the chinese bikes. However coming across this made me even more confident. A real bike with real gears. If its got a good engine and trans then I would jump all over it. Which is why I come to you guys. Ive hear of the Lifan and Hemsin copies. But I dont know if this is one. I think it might be made by Znen. Its CA legal which is good me being in CA and not many chinese bikes are. Im hoping you guys might be able to tell me what manufacturer this is and what engine it has? Its a single cylinder. But im assuming its a copy of a popular japanese engine. Im hoping so. That would make it a great buying option for me and something servicable. 250cc street bike motorcycle www.powersportsmax.com/product_info.php/cPath/482/products_id/15836Thanks all.

Ya, the Honda Rebel and this motorcycle look identical, but there may be some parts still different. I own a Bali 250 with a 172mm- 244cc engine that is copies from the Honda Helix 250cc scooter. But the Chinese might have made some engine parts a little different... For the most part, I could get things like air filter, water pump, ect from Honda and they fit both scooters, but like the spark plug, it may be different.... Certain things fit fine, but Honda parts cost more.. So something servicable, well Honda said they would work on my scooter- because it is the same as a Helix 250.. I only like taking tires to be changed to Honda, because I do my own work to the scooter..

Knowing the chinese, your suspension will be a standard chinese suspension, not too comfy. Honda and suzuki's suspensions on those 250cc motorcycles are very soft, like you're floating over the road. Chances are the saddle is imitation leather, instead of real, and may feel more sturdy (hard) than the deluxe feel you get on the genuine brands. Also braking capacity, construction materials, may be below the genuine brand; as well as with a Honda most bolts are tight, with this one, you probably have to do a PDI yourslf, or else the bike will rumble apart after a good 1,5k+ miles

I guess, Chinese motorcycles and scooters are substandard to all others.. lol... So you would see many parts wear out faster than a Yamaha, Honda, or Suzuki... But the reason I bought Chinese verses a Honda Scooter, is because I knew how to work on them and though cheaper quality, I felt I could keep it running.. They are decent buys if you can work on them yourself... Mine is going on 5 years old and still running like a champ.. 6000 miles on it..
