Ive been looking at cheap chinese scooters and have them coming out of my ears. I understand all the issues with them and having worked on my dads old Honda XL100 and other bikes since I was a teenager. I feel comfortable that I could tackle these issues of the chinese bikes. However coming across this made me even more confident. A real bike with real gears. If its got a good engine and trans then I would jump all over it. Which is why I come to you guys. Ive hear of the Lifan and Hemsin copies. But I dont know if this is one. I think it might be made by Znen. Its CA legal which is good me being in CA and not many chinese bikes are. Im hoping you guys might be able to tell me what manufacturer this is and what engine it has? Its a single cylinder. But im assuming its a copy of a popular japanese engine. Im hoping so. That would make it a great buying option for me and something servicable. 250cc street bike motorcycle www.powersportsmax.com/product_info.php/cPath/482/products_id/15836Thanks all.

Nice! A Honda Rebel copy! The Honda Rebel bikes are pretty cheap. I'd spit up the extra $1000 and get a safer, more reliable bike, that's really comfy to drive. These chinese bikes, don't even have good suspension.
Just a suggestion!

I agree you could get an actual Rebel (used) for the same money and never have to do anything to it but the regular maintenance . You'll end up with a more reliable bike. Suzuki and Kawasaki have nice little 250's out there for the same price too... PS Craigslist is your friend! I bought 2 bikes recently and sold 3 cars and an instrument all with ease

Ya, Rebel copy all the way.. I just bought a 2009 Honda Rebel 250cc motorcycle for my wife, about 6 months ago. The motorcycle was a left over with 0 miles on it. Bought it from the Honda dealer.. I know the Honda is a great bike and engine stays real cool. Don't know much about the Chinese model, but my guess, is you would have to pull over and let it cool off. The Honda takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.. lol.. See, I bought a Bali 250 and it's engine is a Honda Helix copy but I bet the Honda Helix runs like a charm verses the Bali 250, where one can overheat it in hot weather..

That is a single cylinder while the Rebel is a 2 cylinder. Suzuki has a single cylinder 250 but it looks different, especially the exhaust pipe.

It says it is not legal in California. Go way down the page where it says CARB.
