Hey all. Thinking that a 250 would be better for everyday commuting over a 150.
I was hoping you guys could point me to an online dealer to find a cheap price on a 250. All I have been able to find are between 1700-2200 not including shipping. I was hoping that if possible I could find a better deal. Also im in CA and it has to be CARB legal. But that shouldnt be hard to find.
Thanks

You can actually order from those guys, and do a Local pickup (if you have a truck or something). Saves you on shipping.
The cheapest around I found where superiorpowersports. Great CS too, only too bad they don't have a lot of mechanical support, and don't really do their PDI's like they promise. They go from just over a grand and a half there.

Superior is the best ive found too. But they dont claim any of their 250s are CARB legal.

Yeah, you could have an issue there. I don't even know if any of the big brands (like Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki) are carb legal over there!

Yeah its rough. I dont see how any scooter isnt carb legal. I guess a 150 will do just fine. I can take the extra money and get some performance parts.

Superiorpowersports was the best I could find when I ordered mine. Just don't trust the free PDI.

Ya, my Bali 250, I bought new through extreme-scooters.com... They have the bali 250 for $1599, but they are not legal in CA... I think it is retarded that CA places harsh expectations on 250cc scooters. These scooters are 4 strokes and not 2 strokes. They do not pollutute alot and get 65 to 70 mpg.. That is better than any car on the road today.. I was born and raised until 19, in CA.. San Jose.. lol... Moved to Missouri and like it back here.. Today I am 48..

I don't want to write another review of my terrible experience with these people (you can see it and all of the crap that comes with buying a scooter from these crooks) somewhere in this forum I thought it would of posted in same place where people wee talking about possibly buying a scooter from this place Superior Power Sports,Just to make short what took over 200 words to describe in comment to perspective buyer Don't DO IT,These people talk the BS flawlessly and after they charge your CCard things change BIG TIME and you feel like an idiot for falling for it. They don't do the PDI Promised and from the trucking company to the condition the scooter arrives in and the promises of Free Promos (gas Cards,Tool Kit,Gloves, etc.) To the Running of it after unpacking and Fluids that come with it are all minus one hundred percent (-100%)There isn't one good thing to say for the CROOKS!!!!If I am not believed look around on comments from other people that made the same mistake I did (including ATV's,Scooters,Motorcycles etc.) The Ripoff Report is a good place to start or just look up feedback for SP'S,That isn't on SPS's site, I should have looked into it better B4 buying. Free gas cards or gloves are only with certain models. They do a basic PDI, however that does not include every bolt on the bike! It's just a visual checkup if all bolts are mounted, no parts are missing, and adding some minor oil in the machine, and starting it to see if it runs without problems, before they put it on the pallet. Most companies perform a PDI like this.
Most chinese companies already start using a product similar to locktite (not as hard, but they secure the bolts from falling out).
Fluids on all bikes need to be changed by the book, however, you can just add the fluids, and do the first 30 mile breakin with them. The fluids they insert is just enough to see if the bike starts and runs. Not enough to drive around with. For transport reasons they will never fill up the bike's fluids, 1- For weight issues (increased weight, means increased cost) 2- for safety issues (possibility of leaks, or when fire or heat is present, oil can catch fire easily, and make things a lot worse.
Most companies do exactly as Superiorpowersport; a quick, non-thorough PDI. Expect to pay a good $100-$150 more for a more thorough PDI. And if you expect someone to take off any bolt, and mount it again with locktite, then think of buying that same bike for $400 or so more!
