I've ordered a 300cc upgrade kit and cam for my Kymco Xciting 250. I'm not looking for fast, just for a little bit of extra oomf for highway cruising, since it's a big stable bike I like so much and prefer to keep it instead of going for a higher CC scooter. The shop by me said they'd install it because I'm not comfortable with doing that myself. Could anyone give an estimate of the timeframe that could be involved? Gotta pay for labor by the hour The kit is from Martin Racing Performance, part number N-MP-09491 for what it's worth. The (required) cam is N-MP-09485. I'm just looking to see how potentially expensive this is going to be when I decide to put it in. Also, would the stock exhaust for the 250 suffice?

I don't know about the kymco, but the factory muffler on an unmodified cn250 is too restictive. I read on the Helix boards where someone bought a chinese cn250 muffler for his Helix, and lost 5~10mph.
