Does anyone know of any parts, websites or mods I can do to my helix to make my top speed faster/have more power?

Have you tried changing the roller weights to a lighter weight?

My rpms are good I just want it to go faster on the freeway. I want to do some mods to it and stay under a couple hundred dollars

My BigRuckus came with 156 grams of roller weights, I swapped them out with Dr.Pulley 20 gram sliders, and difference in take off is amazing!! I also rejetted and drilled out he slide vacume hole in the carb. Runs so much better now.

For the Helix just about the only thing you can dependably do to gain performance is roller weights and depending on how many miles you have on it is freshin up your tranny and due a tune up.
If you want higher top end for freeway go with heavier sliders. I went with 26 gram sliders and had a top speed of 81. Cruising speed was right about 75. If you have any hills to contend with I wouldn't go with that heavy a slider.
As your belt wears you will lose top speed gradually because the belt won't climb the variator face like it should. New belt with sliders should get you a better top end.
Don't fall for the other stuff that supposed to gain you power. They don't work. Honda has the thing engineered to run the way it is. Change something and it'll run like crap.

Do you have any evidence of this statement? I've never heard a first-person account of a 300cc kit installation, for instance, only several vague statements of "leave it alone!" This scooter has been around for 25 years. Surely there have to be some Helix tuners out there that are squeezing more power out of this thing, no?

Couple guys tried the 300 kit. Its actually about 270cc when its done. The quality of the kit doesn't match the honda stuff and tuning is difficult. The biggest problem is getting the vacuum and back pressure correct to match the carb set up. Even changing the exhaust or air cleaner specs causes ill effects. The exhaust options sound good but the bike won't run as well.
The only thing I have personally tried is the K&N filter and the bike didn't like it. The one thing that I've heard of that really works but takes a ton of fab work is an engine swap. I read about one guy who swapped in a 500cc snowmobile engine and it was a beast. Brakes sucked though.
Fuel injection has been tried but I haven't really heard of any completed or successful project results.
I'd say if you need more go-go, then upgrade scoots, I went with the Burgman 650 but its not near as comfy and the Helix is still around for light duty business. But at 6'5" 330lbs I was happy with the 74-75 mph cruise speed of the little 250, just couldn't handle 2-up duty.
Oh and make sure to check out the Helix forum.

Thanks. Would you happen to have a link to the 500cc build? I saw someone mention it on advrider as well, but haven't been able to find it. It sounds amazing and might be something I want to try someday. Would you happen to recall which Helix forum it was on? Slonaker? Honda-Helix?

I think it was a member on Slonaker's site. Been a while since I heard anything about it.
