Hey I've got a Helix and my trans is making a noise as if the bearings are going out when idling. When I take off the noise goes away has anyone heard of this happening?

Could be anything in there when did you last have the cover off? Is the belt New? How many miles? Honda bearings can fail just like any other.
Take it apart and have a look would be the only way to know. I'd do it before I was pushing it...

The noise did just start and the belt is good. The trans hasn't been serviced I just got it with 15,000 miles

I recently swapped rollers in my Big Ruckus, and when in there, took an air nozzle and behind the clutch area, blew an amazing amount of really nasty black powder out. Really should have put a dust mask on or something. Rotated it a few times and kept blasting air at it back there. I was suprised by how was in there.
Also, if my final drive oil gets low, the Hypoid oil, I get a weird sound from that area. The first time I was looking for the sound, I removed fill bolt, and nothing ran from it. A few pumps from the oil can and all was well.
One of the best buys I made was to buy the BR full service manual. Saved me lots of money so far.

Sweet I'll try that! Are there roller weights in the primary and secondary clutch?

[Are there roller weights in the primary and secondary clutch?]
Hey scooter4life, When I open my case up, the variator is the front pulley where the rollers or sliders are at. The belt then the clutch assembly, just springs for the pads and your contra spring, in the clucth that I know of, but I've not ripped my open to see for myself yet. Once I buy a rebuild kit for mine then I'll tear into it. There was just bunches of black nasty powder when I blew it out.
