I have 17,000 miles on my SYM Citycom 300i and it has started to drip gear oil (I believe) on the rear wheel. It seems to be coming from two areas. The first and this is somewhat minor the tube that runs from the gear housing to the cvt cover. A little oil seems of find its way out. I know this is a breather tube and some of that is normal. The second area of oil leaks seems to be coming from a very small hole actually in the gear housing close to the axle. It is very difficult to photograph but I have made an attempt. From the picture you can see the small hole and the rotor is in the same picture. I don't know if that hole is normal to be open or it is missing some kind of plug. Any ideas?

On my RV250 got a small oil drip on rear tire area, was travelling out of area of course. It got progressively worse over time, 500 miles later was really bad and ended up U-Hauling it home rest of the way. Mine was a rear seal, that leaked rear gear oil. I bought more oil with the hopes of refilling it at gas stops, but 800+ miles away from home knew it wouldnt make it. My suggestion is to fix it as soon as you can. Running it dry possibly would mean even more costly repairs.
