This forum has moved, come to the new forumitistheride.boards.net/index.cgiHey Dawgs... Does any one know of a repair shop in the NW Georgia area that is Chinese scooter friendly? I live near Dalton, GA (which is close to Chattanooga, TN and not TOO far from Atlanta...). I've had just about all I can take of tinkering without getting the kind of results I was hoping for, so I'd like to turn it over to a pro for a proper tune up. Any good choices in my area? Thanks.

We've got one here in Newnan, Southwest of Atlanta, sort of still in NW GA, but probably too far south for you.

Up here thety don't even want to touch them. (Of couse I do all my own work) I've been at shops and they laugh at you. We need a friendly shop up, I just might open one on my own.

I clicked that link for my area. There were about three that showed up, but one of them said this. "No Chinese Junk Scooters Sold Here" I'm guessing that would be a place NOT go to.

cloudsifter - Just out of curiosity, could you PM the name of that dealership? Thanks.

Anyone can help me for South Florida (Miami-Dade area)? I only know of one dealer, who refused to work on my scooter, even changing the brakepads! He only does in Suzuki/Honda/Yamaha and BMW (the major brands).

Sure it would, if you want to pay 3-4 times as much for the same size scoot. So I'll stick with my "Chinese Junk" (I guess it takes a lot of moxie to be a scooter snob.)

Isn't Chinese Scooter Friendly Repair Shop an oxymoron? Should be some kind of moron anyway...

That's the big hang up for me to purchase an ice Bear. Finding a repair facility.

This is why I got a Kymco as a second scooter. A dealer is literally around the corner from me. Sometimes I'm just lazy or lacking space to take my scoot apart and I do not wish to try changing my own tires.
You'll have to make a lot of calls and be ready for lots of no's but there are the odd powersports places that will work on anything.
