Does anyone know that location of the fuses for this scooter? I had to jump start my scoot yesterday after having the steering lock on for the entire day (not sure why this happens.) After I jump started the scoot, I assumed that after riding it for a while that the battery should've charged, but instead, all my lights went out gradually and the scooter eventually shut down with no charge. I assume that I have blown a fuse during the jump start, since I just recently changed the rectifier, stator and ground wires. The only fuses I am able to locate include the in-line fuse near the battery and the fuse connected to the starter relay. Are there others out there somewhere that I am missing?

Now on mine the fuse by the battery is a 15amp, The fuse in your starter relay control the lights, I think there is a main fuse, but if it blow you won't have any power at all. Attachments:

Thanks for the info. Mine are also 15 amps. I will check the starter relay fuse, as I already changed the in-line battery fuse.

Sometime those fuses are bad even if they look good, check those connections on the relay also.

How can I tell if the connections on the relay are good or not?

You need a volt meter like this. Attachments:

I have one that's similar to that. What setting should it be on? And do I test the input and output of the relay?

I thought you could test it with a volt meter, but here is what to do, to find out if you have juice going through the relay, use screw driver between the two big nuts and jump it, if the starter spins you have power to starter.

Zfjelstad, If the relay checks out, the next thing to check is the regulator, this control the power to the lights. Attachments:

I have power to the lights now, but it seems my battery isn't picking up a charge again. I just recently changed the regulator, cdi, stator, and just yesterday changed both fuses again. I even changed some ground wires that didn't look too good. When I touch the meter to the battery, it reads from 13-14 volts with no change when I rev it up to 4k rpm's. This morning, I didn't charge the battery up fully and I put the battery on and it started right up (the battery is new as well). I let the engine idle for about 10 mins. and then shut the engine off. I know the fan must have run during that time. When I tried to restart, the battery didn't have enough juice to turn the engine. Does the fan negate the charge, or am I missing something? Does the relay still come into play here?

When scoot is running, how many volts? you could trace the big wires from the relay, one goes to the battery, the other goes to the starter, make sure you have good contact and that the wire isn't touching anything, there may be a bare wire toching something draining the battery.

When the scooter is running, it's reading at 13-14 volts. I just checked the volts with the fan on and it's the same voltage reading. So I guess no loss there. It must be another faulty wire somewhere then.

it sounds like its charging, did you check those ground wires from battery? What about your battery connections?

Yeah, I think I may have caught the issue with the fuses and I had barely enough charge in the battery this morning to start the engine only once. Charging the battery has been the biggest issue since I got the scoot and it's hard for me to trust that it's finally fixed.

I'd would keep a battery tender on scoot nightly.

I was thinking about that as well. Good idea.
