Greetings All,
Here in Wisconsin, winter is right around the corner. I figure I'll have maybe two more months left of riding before I need to put the scoot away for the winter.
Since this is my first winter with my scoot, I'm looking for tips and advise on how to store it. It will be kept in a non-heated garage over winter and yes, we can experience below zero degree days and nights, on a regular basis.
The PDI instructions on the board is very helpful, is there one for winter storage preperation?

Change the oil, run to circulate new oil, check coolant for enough antifreeze, drain or syphon the fuel tank dry and run the engine until fuel in the carb is exhausted, remove the battery to warmer place and put a battery maintainer on it for the winter. In the spring put in fresh fuel with some 2 cycle oil in it for the fuel first start up to insure immediate lubrication to piston and valve stems. If you have a fuel pump you may have to run the starter quite a bit to pump fuel into the carb. If you can squirt some right into the carb or use a bit of ether and it will facilitate starting with a dry carb. You should be good to go.

I would change your anti freeze before winter and poor some Sea Foam in the gas tank and it will be fine next spring.
