A few new pics of my new GT300i in Silver. Not a huge fan of the color, but I didn't want Black or Gold. Kymco really needs some better colors IMHO. Great scoot just the same. Attachments:

Another one...I bought this Biondi windshield from (this Minnesota dealer imports them from Europe) as it's not available in the USA. Not cheap either. Should come in UPS on this Tuesday 9/11. www.scootervilleparts.com/kymcopeoplegti.htmAttachments:

Here you go....That color-coded top-case comes with the GT300i. It's not a Givi or Shad quality, but it's pretty decent just the same. I think I'll replace it with a larger Shad next year. Attachments:

I'm not "thrilled" with the instrument panel, it's very spartan IMHO, but it's easy to read with a large speedometer. The Kymco Downtown 300i has a "smokin" instrument layout! Attachments:

So I thought I would post a few more. Nice 16" wheels with Maxxis tires. I'm very happy with the stock Maxxis tires as they grip very well overall. Note the radiator behind the wheel well. I LOVE 16" tires, as it rides so much like a motorcycle. Attachments:

Another quick one. Notice the "braided" rear/front disc brake lines? Nice touch. Attachments:

One with my "Airvent" seat cushion (they went out of business) It helps with Kymco rock-hard seat! One thing I have always disliked about Kymco....Their seats are way too firm! Attachments:

Nice scoot..How many miles you put on it yet..[/quot I purchased her in late August, I'm @ a tad over 900 miles now. She has really opened-up @ this point. New engine & trans oils after 600 miles. Still using dinosaur oil @ this point. Once I get past 1500, I'll switch over to synthetic oil (Amsoil) Pure power @ almost 29HP (28.7HP) She is such a sweet scoot!

Hows the wind protection. Looks like a low shield by the pics. Thanks for sharing though looks like a great machine.
PS. Just went back and looked at the pictures again and saw your note about your new shield coming. Be interesting to see what change it makes. Keeps us informed. Thanks Chris

Nice ride. Not sure the weights used in the People, but the Downtown really improves in performance with Dr. Pulley sliders. 20X12 14 grammers. They are 15.5 rollers to start, not sure if they are a different size in the People as the transmission is supposed to have subtle differences with my machine, but several owners on the Kymco board are reporting about 2 full seconds shaved off the 60 time, almost identical gas mileage, and only a mile or two lost off top speed. The draw back is a little higher revs at low speed and they wear out faster than rollers but cost me $75 to buy the sliders and have the dealer put them in so as not to mess with the warranty. They are an extra hoot on a great scoot.
Now to find a good top case.
