Hi my dear scooter fan friends! I am going to buy a 50cc scooter to use in south florida. I have no idea which one is better, TaoTao or Roketa? Quality of built, accessibility of parts, performance, etc Please share your experience. Also I read that Roketa has 2.2 Horepower but TaoTao has 3.5 HP?? is it correct? But it is interesting because TaoTao claims Weight Capacity 225 pound and Roketa 357 pound (162KG) according these links! Then how Roketa with lower horsepower carries more than TaoTao!! Links to their specifications: www.roketa.com/product/2610/0/57946.shtmltaotao.us/index.cfm/scooters/atm50-a11/

thnx for introducing this bike but its $999 I think TaoTao and Roketa are the only $450 + shipping scooters in market then its why I asked only about them. Looking forward hearing from more members.

I ended up buying TaoTao ATM50 Honestly its black engine cover compliments black scooter a lot!! Also I don't know why I felt TaoTao is bigger more famous manufacturer!!! (just feeling, maybe because its super basic website is a little bit better than roketa's extremely super basic website!!!) I found a page that guides how to do a comprehensive PDI. Honestly I am not going thru Loctite, Silicon stuff but just to share with you, my friends yourscooterspace.net/pdi/pdi.html

Facebook: Bintelli Scooters August 15 We love seeing posts like these online! "We just completed the pdi's on our initial Bintelli order....happy to report all the scooters are everything they say they are... No adjustments were necessary... valve lash is dead on... electrical connections are all secured properly. ..hoses are correctly routed and securely clamped... the fit of the body panels are excellent...the finish is of high quality paint...all of the hardware screws are stainless steel (magnet tested)...all models equipped with a 7amp Motobatt battery...2 kicks to prime the carburetor, hit the start button and vrooom....purrs like a kitten."

I own a Roketa and it's a good little scoot. I owned a Tao Tao and it was pretty good as well.
Personal preference I suppose, both are crappy compared to my Baccio, which is junk compared to my ancient Kymco.
But those comparisons are only for when they were new, now after upgrades, all bikes are about equal in terms of quality.
