Greetings, I have a cf250 V3 & I removed my battery to give it a charge-up, no problems there. When I re-installed I connected the positive & negative to opposite connections & got some sparking off the battery terminal as I was connecting the negative. After a second of panic I correctly connected the two but am now not receiving any power when I turn the key. I'm hoping it's just a blown fuse somewhere. Can anyone help inform me of I've done, thanks.

It's happened to lots and lots of people and is almost always the main fuse. You'll have to figure out where it is though. On the Roketa 250 54b it was located on the starter sol. which hung up inside the right rear fender. On mine there was a spare fuse attaced right next to it so an easy charge.

Ok, I managed to finally have time to replace the main fuse, which was blown. However, now when I start it up it will turn over like normal (with regular/expected noises) but not actually start. What should I be checking now? Tks.

Yes. I took the spark plug out & tried starting & it's getting spark.

That'll do it. If I let my 50cc sit that long without running the engine, it takes a half dozen tries before running. Best thing to do is start your engine once a week and let it run for 10 minutes.

TheV3 and V5 have overhead fuel tanks. Therefore, no Vac. fuel pump..actually no fuel pump at all. It doesn't have the same problems like a scoot with a pump whereas, the fuel drains back to the tank. With overhead tank machines there's always fuel to the carb. Have to admit you have me puzzled. If the fuel blew that should have protected the system. And if you have spark and it was running before you boo booed it should run again. Mine did.. Here's a link to a scoot/cycle forum that tends to cater to CF Moto especially v5 and v3. Join up and ask away. There's a chick there Kathy that owns a CF Moto shop and give some good advise (most of the time). You can also download a free copy of the shop service manual there. It should be the same as the V5 if they don't have the V3. Bob www.alternativecruisers.com/index.php?board=60.0BTW, I've let my V5 sit for months and as long as the fuel was good and the battery hot it starts on first very short crank. It will even wake up from winter nap the same way. Of course with fresh gas or gas with stableizer.

She lives! Stacey lives! Turns out it was the ignition coil. having it disconnected & bent up (so I could see the spark) it worked fine, but when bent down & plugged in it seems there was a break in the cable/connection. Turned out to be completely un-related to my own stupidity. Thank you every-one.
