Well. This one is strange (or interesting). I charged the battery to a full scale two days ago.
Decided to give it a ride. After about 12 miles and stopped for something, I could not start the scooter. Waited for about 40 minutes, I finally was able to crank it up and went home.
When I got home, after stopped the engine, I tried to crank it up again. The battery is totally dead. No light, no anything except the dimmed clock. Charged it for about 30 minutes, I was barely able to crank it up.
What could be the reason for this weird battery draining.

I had been having the same issue even after changing the stator coil, rectifier, and cdi. I then checked all my black grounding wires and found that the one directly connected to the battery was melted down to bare wire, so I was definitely experiencing a short.

Yeah. It sounds like a short. Will check the wiring to see what happened.

I need to purchase a diode and have no idea what I should start.
Any suggestion?
