Hello, I just filled fuel tank all the way up and now having probs.
theres a fuel line coming off the top of tank that runs to some solenoid or something, it has the word purge on it and and other lines. Its also has 2 ports with one saying air in and gas is coming out of that.
now im assuming that I filled tank up to full and gas is coming up through the line on the top of the tank and going into that solenoid or what wver its called and choking off the vacuum or something
can someone help me on this, and what is that part called?
thanks

That is a EVAPORATIVE system, to trap fumes from the gas tank. If you overfill the tank gas gets into the vent line and floods the Canister which is full of Charcoal. They are nothing but problems just take the sucker off and block off the Vacuum hose from its orgin and take the vent hose coming from the tank and put a fuel filter on it and tie it up high on the fram. It needs to VENT. There is probably another hose going to the Air Filter tube or Air Box take that off and plug up the hole where it connects to and throw the Canister in the Garbage. Wile

I would like to keep that canister if possible
the only thing is I cant hang up the vent line from tank cause my tank is right behind the seat at the top so I cant really run the line higher than the tank errrrr.
any recomendation on how to do this so gas isnt going into the vent line?

Just rev your scoot quite hard the first 2 go's after first fill up. That way you'll use enough to at least drain the hose.

Ok I removed gas out of the tank till its reading 3/4's on the gas gauge and its alot better but it still bogs down and stalls out sometimes when I come to a stop sign if the gas sloshes to bad. I hate that its doing this, how can I keep that canister and be able to fill tank up and it not do this? I mean if I really have to I will just fill it up to half tank but I shouldnt have to do that.
The weird part is, is that the fuel cap on the tank has a small hole for venting so what the heck is that line for on the top of the tank for? Maybe I should thinl about taking the charcoal canister off, is there a step by step on doing this that tells how to reroute all the lines?
Or is there a real simple fix that I can do that would stop the gas from doing this ? errr
Peace
