You might have to have the variator and the clutch serviced. The clutch (driven pulley at the back) needs light greasing occasionally. There are some clips on utube that demonstrate the process. Thre shouldn't be any shuddering on take off. Not many miles on it but if it sat for a long period of time, there could be rust involved in the back clutch affecting its operation. Chris

It could be roller weights, but I do agree with skuttadawg, I have a 250cc roketa and if I go to slow it will act the same way. The only way your going to get a smoother take off is buy sliders.

If I barely give my Echarm throttle I can feel it engage but normal driving it never does . I replaced my rollers with 12 gram Dr Pulleys and yowsers they are much better and gained 5 MPH top end

On my '09 V5 it's smooth at even the lowest of throttle even from a dead stop. Yours should be too..
