Not the expert here, but typically every time I go for a ride and come back and park my scooter, this gold tube starts dripping gas for at least 2 or 3 minutes. Some have mentioned it being an overflow pipe, but it drips ALL the time, especially if I tilt the scooter upward to go on a ramp, it drips heavily. Should I be concerned about it? Attachments:

tighten the end of the tube with a flat head screw driver, thats just a carburetor drain for servicing.

Its also the overflow hose, yes inky? If so, the float could be stuck.

Carbs won't have anything for overflow, I wish they did though lol. Only overflow they get is straight to your spark plug or airbox

It looks like it is leaking at the hose clamp at the bottom of the spring.

Higher on the carb, usually with a small 1~2 inch elbowed hose on it. Mine didn't work though. Instead the gas went up the carb, down the intake , around the piston and filled up my crankcase with gas.

That sucks that it filled your case. What did you do for it?

Just cut an inch off the line and put the screw back in it.

@eric: How did you drain the case? Drop the engine and dump it?

i noticed that the air canister on my 150cc GY6 doesnt have any hoses attached to the front (towards front wheel) side of it. There are two spots for vacuum hoses to attach but nothing is present. What do they connect to? Thanks.

@eric: How did you drain the case? Drop the engine and dump it? A couple oil changes, til the oil didn't smell like gas anymore. That was also the same time I learned the scoot only takes 3/4 quart to fill up. My air box was a dripping mess.

The screw was loose, hopefully that fixes it. I'm waiting on a nut that holds the variator on as I stripped it trying to put it back on. After that comes, hopefully I'll be back up and running.
