I guess I need to buy this trike scooter. It is an Icebear 150cc and is capable of 140 according to its owner (and seller)... see eBay auction: 320962981957
The seller came up with specs and this is how speed is characterized:
Max speed-140mph (the high safety speed is 75 - starting 80 to 140 it gets in the red)
I doubt he will want to trade with me although my trike is much better looking as it will go about 50 mph tops.

The seller is just reading what the speedometer says in KPH.

You'd be lucky if it did 70MPH!

140mph?...not even if he is reading kph...cause that would be about 84mph... I have ridden the 50 and 150 trikes...they weigh lots more than our 2 wheelers...so the 50 was doing all it could to reach 32mph..and the best the 150 would do with my bony 140lb body..was right at one needle width away from 50mph. Sure like any GY6 engine they could be hopped up to go faster..but not that fast. If you want funny and off the wall claims by sellers...read Craigslist..we don't have cable TV...so Craigslist Scooter sellers are my version of...Comedy Central... ;D

I think the main problem with a trike vs a regular scooter, is wind resistance. A regular scooter (4 stroke, 150cc) usually goes to ~70MPH. A trike would surprise me if it could go faster than 60, probably and more likely topping at 55MPH. There are some members on "the scooter professor proboards" that have trikes, that may be able to tell you their performance.

I would have to agree...wind resistance...plus rolling resistance from those big fat wide rear tires..

I myself would like to see this 150 that can do 70mph(HAHA). 150s are good for 50+ and not much past 50, your lucky if you get one that will do 55. sh!t some complain that their 150s do not reach 50mph. So please show me this beast of a 150 that cranks out at 70mph because that is the one everyone will be buying and every other 150 out there will rust on the showroom floor.

You're probably right, most websites say 65MPH, which means they're only going upto 60MPH. Most websites don't give the speed limits of 150cc trikes, but the 50cc trikes go 30+MPH, while the 50cc bikes go 40+MPH. Following that logic, 150cc bikes go 60MPH, then 150cc trikes should go 45-50mph Unless it has a 150cc 2stroke engine.

Many Gy6 scooters can not even do 60 MPH and a trike will always be slower .
What is surprising is the Genuine Stella has 4T and 2T version but the 4T is faster
After riding and watching overs flip over on an ATC I would only want a reverse trike . I looked at the Can Ams and WTF waaaaaaaaaay overpriced

Your not listening BRO, 150s on the specs are always on the high side, dealers are not stupid they know young whipper snappers want FAST REALLY FAST(HAHA). And most specs will show 55+ and or +/-5mph knowing damn well IT MAY GET TO 55 with the motor screaming and of course they add depending on rider weight, wind and road conditions etc..
But the truth of the matter is in the real world the 150s are good for cruiseing in the 45-50mph range and the important word here is CRUISEING and you may have a little left for a couple more mph. Same with the 50s 30+ hard to find one OUT OF THE CRATE that will touch 40mph without any mods. Just look around and see how many on this forum are looking for mods to reach 40mph, Complaining theirs is only doing little past 30 or reaching 35.

I have a tka 150 reverse and I can get it to peak (top out) at 58mph with no modes. But i'm also only 147lb and i don't think it would be possible to get much more out of it.
But I have a questioned.. Why in the name of living would you want to get on one of these little machines and go faster then 45mph? It's called a scooter not a speedster; it's made for scooting along down the road not speeding down the high way.
My trike is a beast compared to most and it still scares the hell out of me at 50mph on a curved road.
You really don't want to go faster than 50mphs on a scooter expecialy a three wheeler. Those who think they do really want a motorcycle but for some reason can't have one.

I have a 150cc Vogue/Auto Moto trike, weighs 425lbs with the narrow 10" rim tires, and I cruise all day at 45-48mph,, and top at 50+. With the wide tires, this trike really strains to top at 48+. My 2 cents.
