I have a Peace 50 scooter and wanted a gps mount. First I added an accessory DC power outlet which I got from Walmart (3M brand) Trying to mount this low to the handlebar cover was important to me. I didn't want it 2 inches off the surface of the cover. I also wanted a mounting without Velcro or other temporary type attachments. I found this attachment from GPScity for $5 + $2 S/H which has a removable ball (17 mm) Model: Garmin Nuvi AMPS Adapter Mount Part No: 010-10969-00 I needed to center this between the high beam indicator light on the IP and the LH switches. I wanted this mounted on the LH so I could use a free hand to make button pushes if necessary. Since I didn't have a flat mounting, I used rubber fender washers in the single bolt attachment. You can see the outside rubber washer is cupping from the attachment, but it's behind the mount so I can't normally see it. There's probably a cleaner way to attach this but I also liked the idea of a little compliance in the ball attachment in case it gets bumped. I routed the cable through the handlebar cover and out near the accessory outlet. I left enough slack in the power cable to allow a full turn of the bars. The remaining cable is tie wrapped in a bundle under the handlebar cover. I route the loop in the helmet hanger to keep it away from my knee when riding. Attachments:
