I'm sure many of you have had carb issues related to a small tear or hole in the diaphragm. Idk if anyone else has found this out but I was amazed at the outcome so I figured I'd share. Ok so lets say you get a SMALL tear/hole in your diaphragm and now you gotta order one but you also need your scoot (i.e.: my situation). Go to the nearest auto store and pick up a small tube of FEL-PRO black RTV silicone, I say FEL-PRO b/c I found it to be the best and most felexible. Now take your carb cap off and CAREFULLY remove the diaphragm. Take a small amount of the RTV and carefully spread it on both sides of the tear/hole, use your finger or a thin piece of cardboard. Now, it takes about 24hrs for the RTV to fully cure but if you're impatient like me wait atleast 6hrs before reinstalling into your carb. The RTV is spread so thin it doesnt take long to fully dry. Next take your scoot for a test spin, if done correctly and the hole is sealed you will notice a huge difference in performance!! And presto problem solved!!!!! Though I do have to say that this is meant as a short term fix and not a permenant thing! Hope this helps some people. Take care and safe scootin!

Just remember that the diaphragm still sees gasoline and it will dissolve the RTV. You don't want a gob of RTV to get sucked into the carb.
