Basically my honda helix was running sweet until one day it started to vibrate very badly on take off.... i have changed the rollers, clutch shoes, belt and some other bits.... but much to my general annoyance.... the vibration is still there..... now i didnt know it was even coming from here until this morning and heres a video, www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBL1QVjlyUc&feature=plcpthe chattering you hear is directly linked to the vibration... i have removed all body panels etc from scooter in my hunt for the problem... does anyone have any thoughts on this??... im desperate to get it sorted as i love this scooter.... also anyone know how to get the clutch bell off without a special tool? any assistance gratefully received.... driving me mental this is...

Did you change out the clutch spring also my taotao ATM 150 sounded like that. It had a chirp noise to it and new springs fixed it.

i never done the work myself so dont know.. but can find out.... problem was there before... and now after having cluch shoes, belt etc done

To remove the bell housing you will need an impact wrench. You can get one at harbor freight for $40. Then have it on the center stand and have some sit back on the bike so the tire is locked against the ground. Mshould come right off.

I have two Honda Helixes, Your problem is almost certainly the clutch bell. The inside is likely scathed and gouged from worn out Clutch shoes. $35 shipped for the Chinese equivalent. You do not need an impact wrench to remove the nut. You just need a way to secure the clutch from moving. Very easy to fix if you are mechanically inclined. Remove the CVT cover. Remove the nut on the final drive , pull the old bell off, put the new one on, replace and tighten the nut to torque specs which I think is around 65 ft-lbs but I could very well be wrong. Replace the CVT cover and you are done. Your scoot should ride like new.
